In 1968, the JZ was electrified from the Italian border to Zidani Most, 40 miles east of Ljubljana, but the locomotive changes tended to occur in Ljubljana, which had a large locomotive terminal, instead of Zidani Most, which did not. Two-year-old Italian-built 3-truck electric locomotive No. 362.038 sat in the Ljubljana station between assignments.
